The IUE data on NGC 7469 for different epochs between June 1978 and May 1981 were compared, as were data for NGC 7469 and other galaxies. The dereddened continuum, harder in 1978 than in 1981, can be fitted to a straight line indicative of a one component nonthermal source. Emission lines show variation. Several weak absorption lines are present. Absorbing clouds have negative velocities relative to the systemic velocity and thus indicate outward motions. Velocities observed in emission and absorption may be due to a rotating, expanding flow.
