With the coming evolution of a more inclusive and extensive heliophysics data environment, the need for tools which can make use of them is far greater. Furthermore, average desktop computers are becoming extremely powerful. Most modern computers are equipped with multiple processors, or at the very least, multiple cores to offer significant advantages over the computers of just a few years back. However, due to the effort involved, very little software is able to take full advantage of these new technologies. We have developed software which marries the latest in desktop advancements with certain aspects of the up and coming data environment. Our current focus is visualization and prototype tools that have been written to more easily download, visualize, and manipulate data. For this paper, we will discuss the architecture of the system and how this can make for more effective science along with our plans for the future.
