In classical thermodynamics, we lack of an explicit definition of the state function for representing the internal heat energy of the system. Due to this reason, Clausius' definition is built as the differential of the non-state variable {\delta}Q divided by its temperature T, which must be restricted to reversible processes. In axiomatic approach, the exact differential equation of entropy is expressed as "the difference of functions", the function form of which hides the physical picture of the state function. In this paper, we introduce and prove that the internal heat energy of the system is a state function, and introduce this state function into the definition of entropy. The new approach may give a new perspective on classical thermodynamics. From this new perspective, we discuss the explicit definition of exact differential of entropy, the total differential of the second law of thermodynamics and the three sources of irreversibility.
