We have reanalyzed the infrared part of the A1Πu-X1Σg+ (Phillips system) of C2. Improved molecular constants were derived and the v'' = 5 and v'' = 6 vibrational levels of the X1Σg+ state were observed for the first time. RKR curves and A1Πu-X1Σg+ Franck-Condon factors were calculated from the equilibrium molecular constants.
