One spectrogram of Markarian 171 was taken with the CASSHAWEC spectrograph used at the Cassegrain focus of the 3.6 m CFH telescope. The velocities measured along the E-W slit, through the two components agree with previous results and demonstrate the quality of this instrument. Moreover, kinematic details are observed and show a break of 100 km s-1 in a small zone of IC 694. This break corresponds to a discontinuity in the electronic density in the same region. The importance of carrying out a detailed study on the whole object is emphasized.
