The results of processing of Venera 13 and Venera 14 data on Venus surface rocks are considered and generalized. The general characteristics of the probes' landing sites are described, and the determination of the chemical composition of Venusian rocks is discussed, including the methods and instruments of analysis. A block diagram is presented of the processing of data obtained from an X-ray spectrometer, and the X-ray spectra are shown and compared with those of earth rocks. The composition and physical and mechanical properties of the rocks are discussed. The results show that Venusian rocks have weak, cemented structures, that volcanic eruptions probably led to the formation of the rocks.
