We discuss implication of general-relativistic electrodynamics of a neutron star to the problem of acceleration of charged particles and gamma-ray production by young pulsars. The effect of dragging of inertial frames of reference may significantly enhance the electric potential drop above the surface of a neutron star, and general relativistic treatment of electrodynamics near a neutron star may have feasible impact on the ``polar cap'' model for the operation of gamma-ray pulsars.
