We investigate the possibility of detecting neutrino oscillation patterns in the neutrino burst from SN1987A in the Large Magellanic Cloud. By considering the circumstances of the core from which neutrinos are emitted, such oscillation patterns turn out not to be observable in the present SN1987A case because of the loss of coherence between the neutrino mass eigenstates.
