Electron density data obtained with the fully steerable 46-m antenna at Millstone Hill during March 6-10, 1989 period (which was characterized by various levels of geomagnetic activity and a geomagnetic storm commencing on March 8) were used to derive the peak electron density and the peak height of the F2 region as a function of latitude. The derived peak-height values were combined with measurements of electric field-induced ion drifts and the mass-spectrometer incoherent scatter model to estimate the meridional neutral winds at thermospheric heights over the geodetic latitude range 30-56 N.
