This paper corrects a previous publication, by the author, in which F-region neutral-air winds driven by both pressure gradients and moving ions were calculated. Unfortunately, the directions of the ion vetocities used in the previous calculations were in error by 180°. The effect of ion vetocities on the winds is generally small, and negligible at medium and high latitudes, so that the major conclusions reached before were valid. Now at Department of Physics University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
