It is shown that there exists a bubble-type negative energy solution in M4×TD Kaluza-Klein theory which indicates unusual compactification near the bubble. This solution shares the same topology with the Brill-Horowitz solution but has a different geometry on the compactified dimensions, and it reduces to the Brill-Horowitz solution in a certain limit. However, since the unusual compactification happens in a very microscopic region of ordinary three-dimensional space the quantum theoretical consideration would be required in the last analysis. It is also briefly argued that any bubble-type solution of M4×TD Kaluza-Klein theory can have negative energy in general. Indeed, the energy of the above compactification can be arbitrarily negative.
