Scientific paper

PSR J1909-3744 is expected to be among the top five X-ray brightest
recycled pulsars. Its proximity and relatively high spin-down power make
it a promising target for studying the X-ray properties of very old
recycled pulsars including thermal radiation from hot polar caps and
non-thermal radiation from magnetospheres.
