We present H-band images and K-band spectra of Neptune that have been taken on August 17 - 19, 2000, with the adaptive optics system PHARO on the 200-inch Hale telescope. The three-day series of images provides a view of the cloud structure around the planet. The images, which probe Neptune's upper troposphere, show a dark equatorial region, and relatively bright midlatitudes. Two prominent cloud structures with a longitudinal difference between them of about 90o, are visible at southern midlatitudes. The K-band spectra have been measured through a 0.52'' wide slit that was aligned with the rotation axis of the planet. Since different wavelengths in the K-band spectra probe different regions of the atmosphere, the spectra provide information on the vertical distribution of scatterers such as aerosol and cloud particles in Neptune's upper troposphere and lower stratosphere as a function of latitude and longitude.
