In the last ten years we have witnessed a tremendous increase in the knowledge of the optical light curve properties of supernovae (SNe) of all types. However, comparatively little is still known of the evolution of the near-infrared light curves of these same objects. The lack of IR data has hindered our ability to measure bolometric light curves, which are a fundamental prediction of all supernova models. Infrared data also offer significant promise in improving the precision of both type Ia and type II SNe as cosmological standard candles. We propose to continue our long-term, systematic survey of the JHK light curves of nearby supernovae using ANDICAM on the queue-scheduled YALO 1- m telescope. This unique instrument/telescope combination will be used to obtain optimally-sampled BVRIJHK light curves of ~3 SNe per year. The data obtained through this program will provide a fundamental reference for supernova studies for years to come. This proposal is asking for a sixth semester of observations. To date we have followed 7 supernovae. The latest supernova we have reduced is SN2000cx, which is shown in the figures in this proposal. This was an otherwise very nearby normal Type Ia supernova that had unique colors that cannot be described by the MCLS or (Delta)m_15 methods we presently use.
