The problem of correcting a low elliptical orbit by a low-thrust engine is considered in the case when the main perturbation is due to aerodynamic drag, whose magnitude is known insufficiently accurately. The proposed correction algorithms take into account: (1) stepwise improvement of the determination of the perturbing force by means of direct measurements; and (2) calculation of the control parameters on the basis of approximate analytical relationships. It is noted that the algorithms are intended to eliminate the predicted final miss, and simulation results of satellite motion control are presented.
