We show that a Pc1 event may be constituted of simultaneous emissions from different and separated geographical zones. The emergent zones of such a Pc1, recorded at three points distributed in longitude at the same latitude, are determined by means of a new method of analysis, based on measurements of the cross spectral densities. The frequency domains associated with each zone are separate. The mean frequency domain which, at first, is limited to the region around Riga, extends, within 30 min, westwards towards England, the intensity of the moving part being greater than that of the stationary part. The energy of the particle sources, their movement and their distribution in latitude and longitude, are determined. Considering the particles to be protons, their energy is found to be 17 keV and the L value of generation is shown to be 3, in one example. More complex cases can also be interpreted.
