Previously described methods are used to investigate solutions, asymptotic to the equilibrium position, of an autonomous Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom in second-order resonance. Necessary and sufficient conditions are determined for the existence of asymptotic solutions, and an analytical representation is obtained for those solutions. The results are applied to the problem of motions, asymptotic to regular precessions, of a satellite in a circular orbit.
