Salyut-6 observations of lunar light refraction in the earth's atmosphere are examined. It is shown that lunar-light refraction measurements can be a sensitive method for studying the fine structure of atmospheric density variations. The interpretation of motion pictures of the moon's setting made it possible to estimate the thickness of stratified irregularities in the stratosphere.
