Relationships between the oscillatory motions of the center of mass of a spacecraft having a moving element, in a Newtonian field, and the angular oscillations of its center of mass under resonance conditions are studied on the basis of an analysis of the equations of perturbed motion of a spacecraft in circular orbit. Using the method of averages, it is shown that resonance vibrations of the center of mass may be generated by disturbances about the center of mass.
