Spectrophotometric observations in Hα, Hβ, [O III] λλ4959 - 5007 Å, [N II] λλ6548 - 6584 Å, [S II] λλ6717 - 6731 Å of NGC 3132 have been made using the IDS of the ESO 1.52-m telescope coupled with the Boller and Chivens spectrograph. Monochromatic images and isophotal maps in Hα, [S II] and [O III] have been obtained in an arbitrary scale with a CCD detector mounted at the Cassegrain focus of the 1.54-m Danish telescope. The observational data lead to the following comments: (1) The inner bright elliptical ring in Hα and [S II] can be regarded as projection of optically thick H+ and S+ oblate shells with approximately the same excentricity. (2) Secondary structures are detected by the CCD observations.
