The review of recent works on hydrogen and hydrogen-containing compounds
abundances on the Moon is given. The problem of hydrogen abundance in
the finegrain fraction of the lunar soil is discussed in detail. That
lunar lava tubes and buried tube wall fragments are volatile traps apart
from the polar permafrost regions is noted for the first time.
