Monte Carlo calculations of ion collection were completed for the collisionless and transition flow regimes. The study demonstrates that the Monte Carlo technique is an efficient method to determine ion collection over the complete range of the flight parameters: Knudsen number, Debye number, plate potential, speed ratio, and collision cross sections. Calculations for the collisionless case, although not exhaustive, do indicate the systematic variation of the parameters on the ion collection.
