The modulation energy spectrum of cosmic rays was investigated on the basis of cosmic-ray intensity measurements at different levels of the stratosphere carried out at Alma-Ata for different levels of solar activity during 1975-1985. The N-S asymmetry was calculated for chosen IMF sectors on the basis of mean-diurnal data from high-latitude neutron monitors. It is shown that, in the time period studied, the N-S asymmetry did not depend on the sign of the sector or its position in the geomagnetic cycle.
