Scientific paper

Electron density profiles of the midday lower ionosphere in a
solar-minimum period (1972-1974) were obtained from radio-propagation
data in the 10-80 kHz range for various times of the year at low and
middle latitudes. Seasonal and latitudinal variations of the effective
height and impedance of the ionosphere are evaluated.
