The dependence of the angular velocity in the Sun's convection zone on various parameters is considered. The latitude dependence of the heat transport (or the latitude dependence of the mixing length because of the assumed validity of mixing length theory) caused by the interaction between rotation and convection; and the anisotropy of the viscosity (AV) are examined as the cause of differential rotation. The former leads to meridional circulation which drives differential rotation; the latter drives differential rotation directly.
