A method for the construction of self-consistent models for an axially symmetric pulsar magnetosphere (parallel rotator) neglecting radiation effects is presented. Results obtained for nonrelativistic magnetospheres are shown. For the quasi-neutral case, starting from a vacuum dipole field the particle density is increased. A dipole field can only store a limited amount of plasma. For the neutral case, the electric potential changes considerably, whereas the magnetic field remains nearly unchanged.
