The analysis and modeling of buck type converters is described. Load variations are considered like any other variable in the system. Continuous time models which enable prediction of the transient response of the converter are proposed. Practical results are presented to validate analytical predictions derived from the model. The proposed method can be used in other dc-dc converter topologies.
