The ionization structure of the nighttime middle ionosphere in the middle latitudes was investigated. The wind data were examined and the best fit wind model was made. Results shows the dominancy of (2, 4) mode atmospheric tide. The ionization profiles were calculated taking account of the modelled wind along with the Sq electric field and the geocoronal UV emissions. Comparison between the calculated and the observed profiles shows a good accordance.
