Geomagnetically induced currents are a potentialy hazardous phenomenon
that can disrupt the electricity supply infrastructure of the UK. Katie
Turnbull describes new models that locate where the largest currents may
occur, with a view to avoiding significant future long-term damage to
the National Grid.
