We present a short overview of predictions from two modeling tools, an evolutionary synthesis code for metallicities from Z = 0 (Pop III) to solar and a general purpose 3D Lyα+continuum radiation transfer code. These allow us to predict the ionizing and emission line properties of objects such as star bursts and primeval galaxies, and to predict consistently Lyα line strengths and profiles taking radiation transfer, ISM geometry, dust etc. into account.
