The paper is a continuation of calculations carried out by Adachi et al. (1964), but its aim is to adapt the results for use in the Pamir experiment whose primary objective was to study elementary events by exposing rentgenographic films to X-rays. Distinctive features of the adaptation is the form of formula of multiple scattering, and that the shower characteristics are determined for a definite number of shower particles at a given observation level, rather than as a mean value for all the showers studied. The graphs showing the dispersion of the obtained characteristics should be useful for determining primary-photon energies.
