The Monte Carlo method was used to determine physical conditions in the TMC-1 from HC3N observations, and a cloud model with essentially inhomogeneous internal physical conditions was developed. According to this model, the TMC-1 is an oblate collapsing spheroid. The gas temperature increased from 8 K at the center to 20 K at the border of the cloud; the H2 density is equal to 20,000/cu cm at the center and decreases according to a power law with increasing distance from the center.
