A system of equations is derived describing the behavior of the
parameters of the thermosphere at heights between 90 and 300 km. The
assumptions and approximations employed in the derivation of the system
are discussed and evaluated. A method for solving the system is
proposed, and the boundary conditions used in the solution are outlined.
