Cosmic ray microvariation intensity spectra are studied on the basis of a 10-sec recording by the neutron monitor and muon telescope in Apatity during the solar cosmic ray event of May 21, 1990 and the interplanetary perturbation of October 21, 1989. It is shown that for the October 21, event, the fluctuating cosmic ray pulse was confined within a magnetic filament or a layer visible from earth at a 15-deg angle.
