Numerous cases of irregular microvariations of cosmic-ray intensity, with a variation time of 10-20 min and an amplitude of approximately 1 percent, have been detected with the Kover instrument of the Baksan neutron observatory. In the present paper, a relationship is established between the duration of these microvariations and the duration of perturbations of the atmospheric electric field.
