Very strong electrostatic structure with large amplitude and durations and small Electrostatic solitary waves have been observed in the magnetotail region associated with reconnection. It is found that the electrostatic large-scale structures are mainly perpendicular to B, while the small Electrostatic solitary waves are mainly parallel to B. By carefully checking the data of particle, field and wave, and comparing with the full particle simulations, their spatial and temporal evolution, and the role of electrostatic structure on the structure of reconnection layer and electron acceleration have been investigated in detailed
