The propagation of infrasound (IS) and microseismic (MS) vibrations from oceanic storms are studied. It is shown that IS vibrations recorded by the observatory of the Institute for Solar and Terrestrial Physics (ISTP) in Irkutsk, Russia, originate from the oceans. The similarity in the origin of MS and IS vibrations allows the movement of cyclones (typhoons) to be traced.
