We have performed a microscopic study of the
7Be(p,γ)8B reaction at low energies within
the framework of the resonating group method. At solar energies, E=20
keV, we find an astrophysical S-factor of 0.0254 keV b which is in
agreement with the value currently adopted in solar model calculations.
