Ways to improve the precision of navigational determinations using differential navigation methods in the framework of space difference-rangefinding systems are considered with reference to Navstar Differential GPS. It is emphasized that differential methods, based on the consideration of invariant errors, make possible a large improvement in the precision of navigational determinations. Sum-difference navigation methods are also considered, and it is noted that the potential precision of these methods is higher than that of difference-rangefinding methods.
