About 50 TV images of Comet Halley were obtained by the Vega 1 and 2 probes at distances from 500 to 8000 km from the comet. This paper describes methods and algorithms oriented toward the solution of the following problems: (1) image reconstruction and noise suppression; (2) determination of the nucleus boundaries; (3) identification of jets; (4) identification of structural elements of the nucleus surface; (5) determination of the shape and size of the nucleus.
