The paper describes a method for constructing statistical ellipses for the study of the polarization of geomagnetic pulsations. The processing of synchronous observations of Pc3 pulsations at midlatitudes at two points is examined. For these two points, it is shown that the polarization of geomagnetic pulsations observed at the earth's surface depends on the horizontal inhomogeneity of the geoelectric section.
