Approximate analytical formulas are derived for calculating the secular perturbations of asteroid orbits. The formulas are applicable to nonresonant almost-circular orbits, slightly inclined to the ecliptic plane. The most important feature of the present study is the fact that the time dependences of the asteroid-orbit elements account in a unified way for both the outer and the inner planets with respect to the asteroid belt.
