The observed metallicity distribution for long-lived dwarfs in the direction of the NGP is described by the sum of two normal curves with mean metallicities [Fe/H] = -0.30 and +0.05, and dispersions close to 0.10. After removal of random and intrinsic scatter the distribution resembles a nonmonotonous function of metal enrichment in the galactic disk.
