A detailed numerical study of meridional winds in the ionosphere for various seasons and times of day on the global scale is carried out on the basis of available ionosphere and neutral-atmosphere models with simplified equations of motion for the system of horizontal large-scale winds. Results are presented in the form of latitude dependences of meridional-wind velocity for equinox and solstice periods; streamlines corresponding to the midnight field of wind velocities at a height of 300 km in the morning-evening meridional section plane for winter and summer; and the latitude dependence of meridional and zonal pressure gradients for the winter-solstice period.
