Aboard San Marco-5 the measurement of the solar and airglow radiations from 20 to 700 nm with one and the same instrument has been performed from Mar to Dec 1988 in an equatorial elliptical orbit. Preliminary results of solar spectra, flux changes and airglow emissions from different directions (zenith to nadir observations) are reported here. In this context, solar and airglow EUV/UV measurements from satellites are reviewed showing the lack on in-flight calibration.
