A preliminary measurement of inclusive charmless semileptonic B meson decays is presented based on data recorded at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP II asymmetric-energy B Factory. Events are tagged by a fully reconstructed decay of one of the B mesons. A charged lepton and the missing momentum are used to identify semileptonic decays of the second B meson. The analysis of the remaining hadrons allows for the separation of rare charmless decays from b → c decays. The fraction of charmless decays of all semileptonic decays is used to derive the ratio of the CKM matrix elements \vert V_ub \vert / \vert V_cb \vert.
