For the characterization of complex structures we present an approach which is based on the theory of stochastic Markov processes. With this analysis we achieve a characterization of the systems whose complexity may be based on nonlinear noisy dynamics or multiscale features like multifractal scaling. We show how based on the estimations of Kramers-Moyal coefficients it is possible to reconstruct from pure, parameter free data analysis the Planck or a Langevin equation.
