We consider a semitransparent moving mirror model in the two-dimensional Minkowski space and determine the quantum vacuum correction to the mass of the mirror as a function of the mirror's trajectory. As expected, we find that for uniformly accelerated trajectories the mass correction exactly reproduces that for a mirror at rest in the thermal state of the field associated with the co-accelerated frame.
