A brief review is presented of attempts to describe mathematically the mass distribution of protoplanetary bodies in the collisional processes of accretion or fragmentation. Equations are examined which describe changes in the distribution function for protoplanetary bodies in the process of accretion with fragmentation, the condition for fragmentation, and the coagulation function. A method is developed for the solution of this problem by computer. Some partial results are presented for the case of accretion without fragmentation or with very weak fragmentation and the case where fragmentations play a substantial role in the accretion process.
