A dark colored sandstone permeated by paleo-aqueous spring flow contains
Ba-rich, Mn oxide/hydroxide mineralization of probably biogenic origin.
On a wetter and warmer Mars, similar processes may have acted to produce
dark, biomineralized sediments.
